Kishore Kumar G is an Indian Kannada actor who has worked in Telugu, Tamil, Malayalam and Tamil film industries. He is known to the audience simply as Kishore.
Early life
Kishore was born on 14 October 1974 in Channapatna, a town in southern Karnataka. His father was a professor by profession and his mother was a housewife. Kishore completed his schooling in Kunigale, Karnataka and college education at National College, Bangalore. He then obtained a master’s degree in Kannada literature from Bangalore University. After completing his studies, he worked as a teacher for some time. Later, he married his college sweetheart Vishalakshi while she worked as a saleswoman for the Deccan Herald and Prajavani newspapers.
Career
Kishore made his debut in the Kannada film industry in 2004 with the movie ‘Veera’. He won the State Award for this movie. He won the Karnataka State Award for his performance in the movie ‘Rakshas’. He played the role of a strict brother in the movies ‘Akash and Kallarali Huvagi‘. Later, he worked in the movie ‘Polladhavan’.
His movie ‘Duniya’ was released in 2007 and the movie ‘Vennila Kabaddi Kuzhu’ was released in 2009. In 2013, he played the role of a forest bandit in the movie ‘Attahasa’. In the movie ‘Jatta’, he played the role of a forest guard, and in the movie ‘Haridas’, he played the role of a police officer. In 2015, he acted in the Tamil movie ‘Thilagar’. His movie ‘Echcharikkai’ was released in 2018. After that, he acted in the web series “The Family Man” which gained immense popularity. He acted in the movie ‘Ponniyin Selvan: I’ in 2022, and the movie ‘Kantara’ in 2023.
He worked in the Malayalam crime thriller ‘Kannur Squad‘ in 2023. Kishore is seen in almost all Rajinikanth movies. He has acted in entertaining films like ‘Jailer’ (2023) and ‘Vettaiyan’ (2024), ‘Coolie’ (2025). In 2025, he played an important role in Salman Khan’s ‘Sikandar’.
