Anish John Kokken is an Indian former model and actor. He has worked in Telugu, Kannada, Tamil and Malayalam films. He is better known as John Kokken among his fans for his work in negative characters i.e. villainous roles. He made his acting debut in 2011 with the Tamil movie ‘Sarpatta Parambarai’

Anish John Kokken was raised in Mumbai, Maharashtra, but was born in Thrissur, Kerala on 27 March 1981, to a Malayali family. His father was a teacher by profession and his mother was a nurse. They are two siblings. Kokken studied at St. Xavier’s College, Mumbai.
He married actress Meera Vasudevan in 2012. This couple has a son. In 2016, Kokken divorced Meera Vasudevan and married actress Pooja Ramachandran in 2019. This couple had a son in 2023.
Career
Kokken started working as a model, but in 2005, he made it to the top 10 of the Gladrags competition. Since then, he decided to pursue a career as an actor. In view of this, he continued to pursue acting and got a chance to act in the film ‘Kalavham‘ in 2006. he then continued to work in small roles in the Tamil, Telugu, Kannada and Malayalam film industries. In 2010, he entered the Kannada film industry by working in Dr. Rajkumar’s movie with the help of producer and actor Puneeth Rajkumar. After that, she acted in the film ‘Yevadu’ and ‘Baahubali: The Beginning’ in 2014 and ‘KGF’ in 2015. In 2021, Kokken worked in P. Ranjith’s period drama film ‘Sarpatta Parambhara’. Then in 2023, he worked as the main antagonist in the film ‘Thunivhu’. Later that year, he also worked on the television series ‘The Village’ and ‘The Freelancer’.
