Namita Pramod is a South Indian Malayalam film actress. She made her debut in the film industry in 2011 with a supporting role in the movie ‘Traffic’. She then got the opportunity to act in the lead role in the movie ‘Puthiya Therangal’ in 2012.

Namitha was born on 19 September 1996 in Kottayam, India, to business couple Pramod and Indu. She has a younger sister named Aankhita Pramod. She studied at Carmel Girls Higher Secondary School in Thiruvananthapuram and graduated from St. Teresa’s College, Kochi with a degree in Sociology. She continued her acting career alongside her studies.

Films
Namitha made her acting debut in 2011 in a supporting role in Rajesh Pillai’s Traffic. In 2012, she got her first lead role in the film Puthiya ‘Therangal’ opposite Nivin Pauly. In 2013, her two films were released, ‘Sound Thoma‘ and ‘Pullipulikalum Attinkuttyum’. In ‘Pullipulikalum Attinkuttyum’, she played the role of a Mohiniattam dancer. Both of her films were successful and she was named the Top Female Star of 2013 in Malayalam.
Then in 2014, she was first seen playing the role of Maya, a modern, urban girl, in Kumar’s Tamil film ‘En Kaadhal Pudhithu’. In the same year, she acted in the films ‘Vikramadityen’ and ‘Villali Veeran’. Her romantic drama ‘Ormayundo E Mukham‘ was released in late 2014. Her first film release in 2015 was ‘Chandrettan Evideya’ where she was seen playing the role of Dr. Geetanjali alongside Dileep and Anushree. She has acted in many advertisements for Bhima Jewellers, Francis Alukkas and Ripple Tea as well as participating in Asianet’s reality show Ningalakum Akam Kodeswaran.
The actress acted in the movie ‘Role Models’ in 2017 and ‘Al Mallu’ in 2018. Although she was not seen acting after 2018, in 2023 she established a vintage cafe named Summer Town in Panampilly, Kochi.
