Pragya was born on 14 November 1998 in Ambala, Haryana, India, to a Punjabi family. Although she was born in Haryana, she was raised in Delhi. Her father Nagaraj was a soldier in the Indian Army and her mother’s name was Prathima Nagaraj. Pragya stayed there for some time due to her father’s posting in Chennai. She completed her school and college studies in Delhi. She had a deep interest in acting and modeling since her studies. Since then, she worked in more than 100 advertisements while studying engineering. During her student days, Pragya was a member of the National Cadet Corps, aspiring to join the armed forces. But forgetting everything, she moved to Chennai and devoted herself to acting.
