Birth and Early Childhood
Amrita was born on 14 May 1994 in Chennai, Tamil Nadu, India. She was born in Chennai but raised in Bangalore, Karnataka. She completed her secondary education from NHR School, Bangalore and studied business from St. Joseph’s College of Commerce.
Career and Achievements
Amrita made her debut in the lead role in the movie ‘Padaiveeran’ for the first time in 2018. In the film, she worked opposite Vijay Yesudas. In the same year, she worked with Vijay Antony in the movie ‘Kaali’. Although ‘Gramayan’ was supposed to enter the Kannada industry in 2019, the film was not released due to the director of the film being infected with Covid-19. That year, Amrita was seen playing the role of Thendral, the captain of the Tamil Nadu football team, in Thalapathi Vijay’s hit movie ‘Bigil‘.
No movie was released in 2020 due to Covid-19, but the next year, in 2021, Amrita made her debut opposite Pothineni in the Telugu movie ‘Red’ directed by Kishore Tirumala. Her second movie released in Telugu was ‘Vanakkam Da Mappillei’, and her third movie was ‘Lift’.
In 2022, she worked again in the Tamil movie ‘Koffee with Kaadhal’. In 2024, Amrita starred opposite Teejay Arunachalam in the bilingual film ‘Hanu-Man’. The film grossed US$41 million at the box office.
