Gouri was born on 17 August 1999 in Adar, Kerala. His mother’s native place is Vaikom A.R., Kottayam and his father’s native place is Adar, Pathanamthitta. He was born and brought up in Chennai. He spent most of his time in Chennai, completing his formal education there. He studied journalism at Christ University, Bangalore.

Gouri G. Kishan entered the South Indian film industry by acting in the movie ’96’ released in 2018. In the movie, she played the younger version of Trisha’s character Janu. She got the opportunity to work in this movie due to her uncle, at that time she was studying in class 12th. She received praise for her good performance and paved the way for new work. The following year, 2019, although she was supposed to make her debut in the film Anupamruthithan Antony with Sunny Wayne, the production was delayed. As a result, she entered the Malayalam industry with ‘Margamkali‘. In the film Margamkali, she worked opposite Bibin George.

In 2020, she also made her debut in the Telugu industry by reprising the role of Janu in the movie ’96’, the remake of the movie ‘Jaanu’. Like the movie ’96’, she received praise for her work in this movie. Sangeeta Devi Dundu of The Hindu commented that “Gouri G. Kishan is brilliant as the teenage Samantha”. She played the role of a college student in the 2021 film ‘Master’. Gauri played one of the three heroines opposite Dhanush in the film ‘Gauri Karnan‘, along with Rajisha Vijayan and Lakshmi Priya Chandramouli. The film was directed by Mari Selvaraj. In 2023, she made her Telugu film debut as a leading actress by playing the lead role in the film ‘Sridevi Shovan Babu’.
