Kriti Shetty was born on 21 September 2003 in Mangalore, Karnataka, to a Tulu-speaking Bant family. Although she was born in Mangalore, she grew up in Mumbai. She worked in advertising alongside her studies from a young age. She entered the industry through modeling. Ram Charan is Kriti’s favorite hero and she considers Ram as her idol. Career
Kriti entered the film industry at the age of 17. Her first film in her career was ‘Uppena‘, directed by Buchi Babu Sana, released in 2021. The film grossed over 100 crores at the box office. The same year, she acted opposite actor Nani in ‘Shyam Singh Roy’. Her next film was ‘Bangarajute’, where she worked with Naga Chaitanya. Both films grossed over 60 crores at the box office. Her film ‘The Warrior’, released in late 2022, was a flop. In the film, she worked opposite Ram Pothineni and was directed by N. Lingusamy. Her next released Telugu film was ‘Macherla Niyogakavargam‘ but it also flopped at the box office. Her last film released in 2022 was ‘Aa Ammayi Gurinchi Miku Cheppali’, directed by Mohana Krishna Indraganti. Unfortunately, this was also a failure at the box office, as it was her third consecutive film.
After a series of failures, she moved away from Telugu films and made her Tamil debut with the bilingual film ‘Custody’ in 2023. In 2024, she acted in ‘Manam’ opposite Sharwanande. It was a box office success. In her short career, she has seen both ups and downs.
