Ritu Varma is an Indian actress who works in Telugu and Tamil films. She has mainly worked in short films and supporting roles. She later made her big screen debut in 2016 with the Tamil film ‘Pelli Chupplu’. She won the Nandi Award and Filmfare Critics Award for Best Actress for her performance in this film.

Life Details
Ritu Verma was born on 10 March 1990 in Hyderabad and grew up there. Her father hails from Madhya Pradesh, so Ritu is fluent in Telugu as well as Hindi. She completed her higher secondary from Villa Mary College for Women, Hyderabad and completed her graduation in engineering from Malla Reddy Engineering College. She then participated in the Miss Hyderabad beauty pageant and became the runner-up.
For some time, Ritu’s relationship with Vaishnav Tej was in the news. However, they denied this and said that they are just good friends. They are often seen together at family gatherings and friends’ get-togethers.

Filmy Activities
Ritu started her acting career with the short film ‘Anukokunda‘. For the film, she won the Best Film Award and Best Actress Award at the 48HR Film Project Competition in 2012. Later, she played a supporting role in the full-length film ‘Baadshah’. But she got the opportunity to work in the lead role opposite Sri Vishnu in the film ‘Prema Ishq Kadhal’. In 2014, she worked in the films ‘Rakumarudu’ and ‘Subramaniam’ in 2015.
Her career success came with the movie ‘Pelli Chupulu’ released in 2016. She won the Nandi Award and Filmfare Award for Best Actress for this film. In 2017, she acted in the film ‘Keshava’ opposite Nikhil Siddharth. In 2020, she was seen in the movie ‘Kannum Kannum Kollayadithal’ along with Dulquer Salmaan and in some parts in the movie ‘Pootham Pudhu Kalai‘. Her ‘Ninila Ninila’ was released in 2021. In 2022, she acted in her first bilingual film ‘Oke Oka Jeevitam’. She then worked opposite Ashok Selvan in the film ‘Neetham Oru Bhanam’.
